The 58th Annual Grammy Awards, handed out Monday night, included a few surprises along with the usual coronation of perennials.

In the latter category, Taylor Swift had another big night, including winning Album of the Year for “1989.” The collaboration of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars on “Uptown Funk,” which won Record of the Year, wasn’t much of a surprise either.

The other of the “big three” awards, Song of the Year — a songwriter’s award — went to Ed Sheeran, while Meghan Trainor earned the coveted Best New Artist.

Kendrick Lamar, Muse, Chris Stapleton and Alabama Shakes were also among the night’s top honorees.
