A broadcast drama series has been canceled after just two low-rated episodes made it to air. Variety reports that ABC pulled the plug on the freshman series “Of Kings and Prophets.”

“The biblical drama premiered March 8 to a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall, falling off this week to an even lower 0.5 in the demo with just 2.4 million viewers,” Variety notes.

The series stars Ray Winstone as Saul and Olly Rix as David.

ABC will move the “Shark Tank” companion series “Beyond the Tank” into the Tuesday 10 p.m. time slot starting next week, the report notes.
