Discontent in L.A. over TV availability of the town’s beloved Dodgers — or the lack of it — is approaching the third straight season, with the Los Angeles Times reporting that indications don’t seem to be pointing toward a resolution.

Time Warner Cable recently implemented a 30% price cut for making its SportsNet LA, which carries Dodger games, available to other cable and satellite providers, but they’re still not buying, according to the report. “The Dodgers and others also put pressure on the holdouts, pointing out that Hall of Fame announcer Vin Scully, 88, will be calling his final season from Chavez Ravine,” the Times notes.

The report quotes Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti encouraging the key players to resolve the dispute, saying: “If nothing else, let’s do it for Vin Scully.”
