Mar 24, 2016  •  Post A Comment

Plans are under way for the first NFL regular-season game in China, and the front-runner to be the home team is the Los Angeles Rams.

“Although plans are not yet finalized, the Rams are in discussions with the NFL to play host in the 2018 season, a team source confirmed Wednesday. Two more league sources indicated the Rams had been prominently involved in the conversation about the game at the annual owners meetings [in Boca Raton, Fla.] this week,” ESPN reports.

The report adds: “On Wednesday morning, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that no decision on participants has been finalized, but there’s no shortage of willing teams.”

The report notes that the Rams’ agreement to relocate from St. Louis to L.A. includes a stipulation that the team will be involved in one international game in each of the next three years.

  1. With irony, I guessed Washington. Seemed fitting, know what I mean?

  2. Probably another wink wink deal with Kroenke.

  3. They were made the home team in case ticket sales don’t go well in LA.
