Anyone who has an idea for the next big TV series will be interested in an event taking place later this month. Universal Cable Productions announced plans for Pitchfest, set for Thursday, April 28.

Applicants must send in a completed submission form by April 21 at 6 p.m. PT, with forms available by clicking here.

Deadline.com quotes Dawn Olmstead, EVP Development at UCP, saying: “We’re taking a fresh approach as we mine for new talent and incubate ideas. It’s a great opportunity to engage with novice storytellers and give them an entry point to bring their projects to life.”

Deadline adds: “Selected entries will be contacted for a 10-minute pitch meeting with Olmstead and her team, who have been behind the development of such series as ‘Mr. Robot,’ ‘The Magicians,’ ‘Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce’ and ‘Difficult People.'”
