NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Brings Aboard a Superstar Singer

NBC will bring a popular singer to the competition program “The Voice” as a superstar adviser to the eight semifinalists. The network announced that P!nk will be featured in the role on the Monday, May 16, edition of the show.

“Since her debut in 2000, P!nk (Alecia Moore) has released seven records, sold over 40 million albums, over 78 million singles, over 2.4 million DVDs worldwide and has had 14 singles in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (four at #1),” the announcement notes. “In addition, she is the recipient of three Grammy Awards, 1 Daytime Emmy Award, three Billboard Music Awards, six MTV Video Music Awards, two MTV Europe Awards, two People’s Choice Awards and was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year in 2013. Her ‘The Truth About Love World Tour’ played 142 shows in 13 countries.”

“The Voice” has been averaging a 3.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 14.0 million viewers overall this season in live plus seven day figures from Nielsen Media Research, the network notes.
