The Latest ‘Big One’ at Talladega Piles Up 21 Cars — Here’s a Video of the Massive Wreck

A huge crash near the end of NASCAR’s 500-mile race Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway — the proverbial “big one” that seems to happen regularly at the sport’s fastest superspeedways — damaged 21 cars and dramatically changed the race.

Only about half the field avoided the wreck, which happened when Kurt Busch apparently tapped Jimmie Johnson’s car and caused it to turn right with 28 laps to go in the race. Brad Keselowski went on to win the event, which was televised by Fox.
