ABC Comes Up Big in Edward R. Murrow Awards

The Radio Television Digital News Association announced the winners of the national Edward R. Murrow Awards today, and for the third consecutive year, ABC News won the overall excellence award for network television while ABC News Radio won overall excellence for network radio.

Overall excellence in large market television went to Vancouver-based CTV, while the honors for small market television were won by WISC-TV in Madison, Wisc.

The Washington Post won the overall excellence award for large online news organizations, and “Reveal” from the Center for Investigative Reporting was the winner among small online news organizations.

In radio, Minnesota Public Radio took the prize for overall excellence in large market, with WDEL-AM/FM in Wilmington, Del., winning the small market award.
