The lineup changes continue for the ABC daytime staple “The View.” The latest casualty is Michelle Collins, who was fired from her co-host role on the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

“Collins joined the show’s 19th season in July 2015 following a trial run in which her brand of commentary and humor were well-received,” THR reports. “Following her full-time appointment, her onscreen presence was reduced to one or two appearances per week. She will remain on ‘The View’ through the end of the summer; her final date has not yet been determined.

The move comes amid a period of instability in the show’s lineup that goes back a few seasons following the retirement of the show’s guiding light, Barbara Walters, in 2014. Among those who have exited during the period are Rosie O’Donnell, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez.

The report notes that Whoopi Goldberg is expected to ink a new deal to remain as the show’s moderator.

  1. Whoopie is the only reason I wafch…she and Joy ….Raven should be the next to go..

  2. I liked Michelle Collins. She was different from others which I like. Each of the co-hosts have their own personality and viewpoints. Like that, too. REALLY love Whoopi and really like Raven. P.S. I’m 62, Southern Girl and lily white in case you wondered. If something happens to Joy, I’ll just spit.
