E! Entertainment has added a new series to its Kardashians universe. The cable channel is readying a six-episode docuseries — working title “Rob & Chyna” — tracking what the channel describes as “the whirlwind romance of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna as they prepare for the birth of their first child.”

E! also announced plans for a special celebrating the birth of the couple’s baby, which will follow the series’ run.

The one-hour series, produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim/Murray Productions, will premiere on E! later this year.

Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Development, E!, says in the announcement: “Very few love stories have created as much pop culture buzz as Rob and Chyna’s, and we are thrilled to see Rob in such a happy place. We are excited to share the next chapter in their relationship.”

Seacrest serves as executive producer for Ryan Seacrest Productions. Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins, Farnaz Farjam and Ailee O’Neill are executive producers for Bunim/Murray Productions. Kris Jenner is an executive producer, and Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are co-executive producers.

The Kardashian family has been a major franchise for E!, with the flagship series, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” currently in its 12th season. The new series joins a long list of spinoffs that has included “Khloe & Lamar,” “Dash Dolls,” “I Am Cait” and a number of “K and K Take …” shows (“Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami,” “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” etc.).

  1. I can’t believe E has another Kartrashian show. The most vile pieces of crap on television. I have since removed E from all televisions in my home. All their inter racial breeding is disgusting. They took an Olympic gold medalist and made him into a bitch. And E puts that vile crap on television. Didn’t the Kartrashians lean anything from OJ Simpson and how a inter racial relationship ends up? If it was not for OJ Simpson we’ would never here of the Kartrashians. Whose idea was it to put this vile disgusting family on television anyway? E network is trash. the producers, the directors..everyone associated with this vile piece crap
