Mindshare Names Veteran of 20th Century Fox, IAG Research and Initiative to Run the Media Agency’s West Coast Operations

Media agency Mindshare, part of WPP’s GroupM, has named a veteran executive to run its West Coast operations. MediaPost reports that Cheryl Idell was appointed to the post, joining the company after more than eight years with Nielsen.

Idell, who was most recently EVP Client Solutions at Nielsen, succeeds Adam Gerhart, who was recently promoted to CEO of Mindshare U.S.

“Idell will lead a team of 150 staffers and be based in Los Angeles,” MediaPost reports. “She will also have responsibility for the Portland office and recently launched San Francisco operations, which opened doors earlier this year.”

Idell was previously with 20th Century Fox, IAG Research (now Nielsen TV Brand Effect) and Initiative Media.
