NBC has appointed a new President, Business Operations and Late Night Programming, with the network promoting George Cheeks to the position, Deadline.com reports.

The appointment marks the second big promotion for Cheeks since he joined NBC in 2012, Deadline notes. He came aboard as executive VP of Business Operations before taking on late-night responsibilities when he was named EVP of Business Operations and Late Night in 2014.

“In his new role, Cheeks, who has renewed his contract, will continue oversight of business affairs for NBC Entertainment, music services for the NBCUniversal television portfolio, and production operations for Universal Television and Universal Cable Productions,” the Deadline report notes. “In addition, he will continue to oversee all late-night programming for NBC’s franchises that include ‘Saturday Night Live,’ ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon,’ ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ and ‘Last Call with Carson Daly.'”

Cheeks will continue to report to NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt.
