Homophobic Rant: Rapper Says TV Is Forcing Kids to Be Gay

Jul 1, 2016  •  Post A Comment

A rapper went on a homophobic rant during an interview, railing against television for “forcing” children to be gay. Boosie Badazz said during the interview with DJ Vlad that half of our population will be gay in 10 years, and questioned the motives of the media in presenting gay-themed content.

The rapper, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, was previously known by the stage name Lil Boosie. He has released a number of studio albums, and reprotedly served time in the Louisiana State Penitentiary from 2009-2014 on drug charges.

Here’s the clip, which comes with the warning that it contains salty language …

  1. Why give this any further publicity? Its not airing on anything credible so without your announcement of it, it goes unseen. Therefore, this idiotic campaign of an illiterate rapper doesn’t waste my time in what, up until this moment, I considered a reliable industry trade. Please, TV Week, a little constraint next time. Thank you.

  2. Expressing your contrary opinion, bad. Following like a lemming, good. Free speech, meh. Heterophobia is the new homophobia.

  3. This is not the first homophobic comment from Rob S., and I suspect it won’t be the last.

Rob, the level at which you are uninformed is clearly evidenced by your reference to free speech. This rapper was not thrown in jail for what he said. However, the right to free speech does not protect you from the consequences of what you say (e.g. public backlash). But certainly people like you and “Lil Boosie” are free to run through the streets exclaiming your opinions on how exposure to gay-themed content is turning people gay. Are you afraid you’re going to catch it?
