Massive Announcement From NBC Lists Record Number of Commentators for Rio Olympics — Here’s the Full Release

NBC sent out a massive press release today announcing that it has lined up a record 170 commentators for its upcoming Olympics coverage from Rio de Janeiro.

More than 40 of the team members will be making their debuts doing NBC Olympics coverage. Bob Costas returns for his 12th Olympics, and his 11th as prime-time host.

Al Michaels will host the network’s daytime show. Among the other hosts are Dan Patrick, Rebecca Lowe, Carolyn Manno and Liam McHugh.

Ryan Seacrest will anchor the late-night show.

The network noted that its talent roster has won a combined 59 Olympic medals, including 25 gold medals.

The Opening Ceremony for the Games of the XXXI Olympiad are set for one month from today, on Friday, Aug. 5.
