A popular daytime talk show has run into some turbulence in the wake of on-air comments by the host that came under widespread criticism.
The New York Post’s Page Six reports that a number of producers have been fired by “The Wendy Williams Show.” Among those who got the ax are longtime producer Jason Gabel and “at least two other senior staff members,” according to the report.
The moves come after Williams took heat over comments she made on the show about racism. Williams said she does not believe in the NAACP or historically black colleges, noting that there’s no “white” equivalent, the story reports.
Williams apologized after getting backlash for the remarks, and invited TV One commentator Roland S. Martin — who was among Williams’ most outspoken critics — onto her show to “educate us all” on race issues. You can see a clip of Martin’s discussion with Williams below.

Roland is a no talent hack who like Jesse and Reverend Al,vsits on a pulpit not based on his talent, but rather by exploiting the color of his skin for his own financial gain.
