Michael Strahan officially began his new full-time position on ABC’s “Good Morning America” this morning, greeted enthusiastically by his new on-air partners — and by a “mini-Michael” who appears in a new promotion for Strahan’s arrival on the show.

Gap-toothed Ethan Barrett, 7, joined the co-hosts for an appearance you can see below.

Robin Roberts told Strahan: “It is great to have you full-time with us — it does feel like the first day of school around here, doesn’t it?”

Strahan’s response: “The only thing I’m missing is my Spider-Man lunchbox.” E! News adds: “While perhaps unintentional, the remark landed like a pun on the network’s kid-friendly advertising of the athlete’s return.”
