Dick Wolf, the prolific creator of hit television programming whose long list of credits includes NBC’s “Law & Order” and “Chicago” franchises, has a new series in production.
This one is unscripted and is in the works at USA Network, Variety reports. The series focuses on the FBI.
“The show, which is being produced in conjunction with the FBI, is currently in production and has been shooting in New York for quite some time, according to insiders, who say the network is eyeing a six to eight episode order,” Variety reports. “Wolf and Wolf Reality’s Tom Thayer will serve as executive producers, along with Marc Levin of Brick City TV and Anne Beagan from the FBI New York office of public affairs.”
Wolf also has a scripted FBI project in development at NBC, with the new project at NBC corporate cousin USA seen as a companion piece.
“Should both shows be picked up, the NBCUniversal portfolio will have a double dose of Wolf-produced FBI projects. Earlier this year, Wolf cemented a major five-year deal to stay in the NBCU family,” Variety notes.
