CNN Rises to the Occasion With Star-Fueled Project Airing Tonight

A new CNN production with some star power attached airs tonight, timed to be a part of the celebration of the International Day of the Girl.

The project is the documentary “We Will Rise: Michelle Obama’s Mission to Educate Girls Around the World,” and the lineup includes not just the first lady but also Meryl Streep, along with Freida Pinto and CNN’s Isha Sesay.

The movie examines the challenges faced by girls globally as they struggle to overcome economic and cultural obstacles in an effort to better themselves through education.

  1. No Thank You. I’ll be focusing on the Thursday night WNBA Finals game #3 as the Minnesota Lynx defeat the L.A. Sparks instead.
