Election night brought heavy viewer numbers to the broadcast networks, as a nailbiter played out in prime time before Donald Trump eventually seized control of the election.
The Futon Critic reports that NBC led the big four in prime time with its “2016 Election NIght” coverage, which was No. 1 in both total viewers (11.967 million) and adults 18-49 (4.4 rating).
ABC was No. 2 in both metrics with 9.682 million viewers and a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo for the network’s prime-time “Your Voice Your Vote” programming.
Third placein prime time went to CBS, which drew 8.799 million viewers and a 2.6 average in 18-49 for “Campaign 2016.”
Fox came in fourth with its “You Decide 2016” coverage, pulling in 4.541 million total viewers and a 1.6 rating in 18-49.
