Nov 9, 2016  •  Post A Comment

A collection of tweets from Hollywood types and other celebrities reacting to Donald Trump’s election night victory was published last night by Deadline.com. The tweets, from Trump’s supporters along with, to a greater extent, those who fiercely opposed his candidacy, capture a range of emotions from fear and pain to ecstasy.

Here are a few samples:

Trump supporter Stephen Baldwin tweeted: “Soon the REAL work begins … to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain !

Proud to have been a part of such amazing history !!@realDonaldTrump.”

Actress Kirstie Alley was also celebrating, tweeting: “Ecstatic xxxooo.”

At the other end of the spectrum, Carl Reiner tweeted: “Noooooooooooooooooooo!” (He included many more “o’s,” but you get the picture.)

Jessica Chastain sent out this message: “The positive element from all this is that we can no longer pretend that we are free of racism & sexism. The question is, what do we do now?”

And Connie Britton tweeted: “We are staring into the face of our darkest self America. Why does it have to have a dyed combover??”

  1. Looking forward to watching the bus pull away with all of the celebs that promised they would leave the country if Trump won. However, I’m afraid that most, if not all, lied. Their childish rants gave people a reason to vote for Trump, hoping they would actually leave. I’m still hoping they keep their word but most are just liars.

  2. U think they learned how to lie from the Queen of Liars?
Good-bye to these paid mouth pieces for HRC – come on and keep your promise.
