One of the regulars on the CBS drama series “Hawaii Five-0” is leaving the show after seven seasons. EW.com reports that Masi Oka will exit after the upcoming 13th episode of the season.

Oka played a recurring character on the show’s first season, moving to series regular for season two. His character, Chief Medical Examiner Max Bergman, has been helping the Five-0 team solve crimes since the show’s fifth episode.

“After taking a brief sabbatical to work with Doctors Without Borders at the end of season 6, Max returned for the annual Halloween episode, but will leave in the upcoming 13th episode of the season, moving to Africa with new bride Sabrina (Rumer Willis),” EW notes.

Oka had a breakout role on NBC’s “Heroes,” earning an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe nomination in 2007.
