Nov 1, 2016  •  Post A Comment

NBC is ready to launch its new Boston station, revealing today that the new station, NBC Boston, will launch Sunday, Jan. 1. The channel will have the call sign WBTS, and will be available over the air on channel 8 or 8.2, depending on location.

It will be available to cable and satellite subscribers primarily on cable channel 10.

NBC Boston will carry NBC network programming along with local newscasts for the Greater Boston area. The lineup of local news programming and on-air broadcasters can be found by clicking here.

A “Countdown NBC Boston” channel will be available to over-the-air viewers starting Nov. 10, with viewers using over-the-air antennas being encouraged to rescan their television or set-top box to add channel 8 or 8.2 to their channel lineup before the Jan. 1 launch.

Nov. 10 will also mark the launch of NBCBoston.com, the new website for NBC Boston, with an NBC Boston app to follow.
