A television host stepped up over the weekend to make the point that he may be partly responsible for Donald Trump’s presidential bid. John Oliver talked about the incident Sunday on HBO’s “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.”
Oliver showed clips of his guest-hosting spot three years ago on Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” in which Oliver strongly encouraged Trump to run for president.
