Alec Baldwin apparently isn’t in it for the money when it comes to his ongoing impression of President-elect Donald Trump on the NBC sketch show “Saturday Night Live.”
The actor revealed in an interview with The New York Times that he’s being paid a puny salary for the appearances, by Hollywood standards: just $1,400 per appearance. He also noted that he expects his appearances to be tapering off, in part because he will soon be busy working on a couple of movies.
The report notes that it takes Baldwin seven minutes to get into his Trump outfit for the role, which has repeatedly drawn angry responses from Trump. Trump’s Twitter critiques have included comments such as “Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks” and “Baldwin impersonation just can’t get any worse. Sad.”
