The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland has unveiled the list of inductees for 2017, announcing that Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Journey, Joan Baez, Electric Light Orchestra and Yes will be inducted.
The ceremony is set for April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Artists become eligible for induction in the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first recording.
In a statement, Baez said: “I never considered myself to be a rock ’n’ roll artist. But as part of the folk music boom, which contributed to and influenced the rock revolution of the ’60s, I am proud that some of the songs I sang made their way into the rock lexicon.”
Yes is LONG overdue
