Fox News Channel fixture Bill O’Reilly opened up about the impending Donald Trump presidency in an interview with Deadline.com in which the cable news host also ripped the media’s coverage of the 2016 election.
Asked how he would rate President-elect Trump so far, O’Reilly said: “Trump so far is sending a signal that he’s going to run the government like his business and maybe that’s going to work. I don’t know, so I’m not going to second-guess it. It’s a new approach but there’s no doubt that he wants to run this as one continuing negotiation.”
O’Reilly added: “So I figure you give the man two years to see if that approach works, the business rather than the political approach. You’ll see at the end of two years if new jobs are being created, money flow comes back from overseas, all of that, the immigration chaos subsides. You got to give him two years, but I think I know what he’s trying to do and you know we’ll watch it.”
O’Reilly had harsh words for the media, saying: “I thought the coverage of the election was disgraceful, and it was dishonest. It was ideologically driven and I think that the news agencies that did that will never return to a level of credibility ever.”

Well, then. We’re totally screwed. It’s been shown that he would have a lot MORE money today, had he just put it in a trust and left it alone. His businesses have gone bankrupt often, are known for screwing the contractors they hire, refuses to pay bills, and has credit so bad that American banks won’t touch him, leaving him indebted to China, Russia, and is currently being “blackmailed” over a project in Turkey.
One of the flaws in running the government like a business is that many things that the government does don’t have the kinds of ROI that a business would require. What is the ROI on the Department of Defense, the Interstate Highway system, etc. If there were good business reasons for doing these types of things, there would be businesses doing them.
