A veteran of six years on NBC’s late-night staple “Saturday Night Live” is the new King George III in the Broadway company of “Hamilton.” The AP reports that Taran Killam will assume the role from Rory O’Malley on Jan. 17.

Killam, 34, was released from “SNL” back in August. His many celebrity impressions on the show included Brad Pitt, Bruce Jenner, Piers Morgan, Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio and Peyton Manning.

He recently completed filming on the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie “Why We’re Killing Gunther,” which marks Killam’s film directorial debut.

The AP notes that the Broadway production of “Hamilton” is also adding new cast members Bryan Terrell Clark as George Washington (Jan. 10), Alysha Deslorieux as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds (Dec. 16) and J. Quinton Johnson as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison (Jan. 6).
