Google Unveils the Most-Searched Entertainment Terms of 2016 — Here Are the No. 1 TV Show, Movie, Celebrity Death, Actor, Actress and More

Google revealed that the No. 1 overall Google search term in the U.S. in 2016 was Powerball, while the most-searched TV show was “Stranger Things” and the top movie in Google searches was “Suicide Squad.”

Among actresses, Meghan Markle was the most often searched during the year, while the list of actors was topped by Brad Pitt. The top music artist was Beyonce, and the most-searched celebrity death was Prince.

“Stranger Things” was followed on the list of TV shows, in order, by “Making a Murderer,” “Fuller House,” “Westworld” and “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.”

Worldwide, the top overall search term was Pokemon Go.
