The eagerly awaited return of BBC America’s “Doctor Who” is on track for this spring, and the cable network has released a first-look trailer that provides some clues to the direction the show is headed.

This will be season 10 for the current run of the beloved time travel series, whose first incarnation was all the way back in 1963. Peter Capaldi, the show’s Twelfth Doctor, has been on board since 2014.
