The 69th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards were handed out over the weekend, and many observers consider the win for Damien Chazelle for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film to be another signal that Chazelle’s “La La Land” is on track for a dominant night when the Academy Awards are presented on Feb. 26.

Jane Lynch hosted the DGA ceremony at the Beverly Hilton. In some of the key television categories, Miguel Sapochnik won Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series for “Game of Thrones” and Becky Martin won Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series for “Veep.”

Steven Zaillian won Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television and Mini-Series for “The Night Of.”
