Trump and Schwarzenegger Continue to Go After Each Other

Donald Trump and Arnold Schwarzenegger kept up their public feud today, with the first blow delivered by Trump.

In a tweet this morning, Trump said: “Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger did a really bad job as Governor of California and even worse on the Apprentice … but at least he tried hard!” The tweet continued Trump’s critique of his replacement on the NBC reality show, which has been raging for a couple of days now.

Schwarzenegger battled back with a tweet containing a link to a 2006 article in the Los Angeles Daily News about Schwarzenegger releasing his tax records when he was governor of California — apparently a dig at Trump’s ongoing refusal to release his.

The AP reportedly reached out to Daniel Ketchell, a rep for Schwarzenegger, to try to get a further comment on the tweet, but Ketchell would only say that the article “speaks for itself.”

The Washington Post has speculated that Trump’s recent interest in bashing Schwarzenegger is related to Trump’s feeling that his daughter Ivanka should have been given the “Apprentice” job, as we reported previously.

  1. My guess is this is just a stunt to boost the failing ratings for the show, along with having everyone at the National Prayer Breakfast pray for higher numbers. It’s also a Distraction.
