CBS announced today that its “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” was the No. 1 late-night program in February in total viewers, delivering Colbert’s first sweeps victory and the CBS late-night franchise’s first February sweeps win since 2010.
The network cites Neilsen preliminary Live+Same Day data.
“‘The Late Show’ averaged 3.02 million viewers, up +18% from last February (2.55m), finishing +5% ahead of ‘The Tonight Show’ (2.87m) and +41% ahead of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ (2.14m),” the network announced, adding: “This also marks the first sweep period that ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ delivered more than 3 million viewers.”
Remember when Colbert said he wasn’t going to focus on Trump all the time? Looks like that may have been a good move.
