The mystery of what became of a “Saturday Night Live” cast member who has been missing from the show is now solved. Cast member Pete Davidson revealed in an Instagram post that he has been working on getting sober.

“Just wanted to let you guys know I’m okay,” Davidson wrote in his Instagram post, which you can see below. “I know I’ve kinda been missing, on social media and on the show. I quit drugs and am happy and sober for the first time in 8 years.”

Davidson joined the cast of “SNL” in 2014, at age 20.

He comments on his battle for sobriety in the post, writing: “It wasn’t easy, but I got a great girl, great friends and I consider myself a lucky man. I’ll always be here for you guys, I promise.”
