The first teaser was released today for a new TV series developed for ABC that is set in the Marvel universe. The teaser for “Inhumans” mentions the program’s unusual rollout plans, with the TV series set to premiere in IMAX theaters on Sept. 1.

The show will reportedly have a two-week run on IMAX screens, with its ABC premiere set for Sept. 26.

The series is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television in partnership with IMAX Corp. Scott Buck is showrunner.

Based on the Marvel Comics of the same name, “Inhumans” will star Anson Mount as Black Bolt.
