Authorities became involved in a three-hour standoff with a man who showed up at a radio station in Medford, Mass., demanding that the station play the song “My Axe” by the Insane Clown Posse, the AP reports.

The report cites witnesses and station employees who say the man showed up Monday at Kiss 108 with an ax in hand, unsuccessfully demanding that the song be played. The station bills itself as “Boston’s #1 Hit Music Station.”

“Arriving officers found the 38-year-old man in his car in the station parking lot. Police say he tossed sharp-edged weapons out of the car during the standoff, and officers unsuccessfully used a stun gun on him,” the AP reports. “The man surrendered around 4:30 p.m.”

The man, who is expected to undergo psychiatric evaluation, reportedly had minor self-inflicted cuts on his arms.
