Two of Hollywood’s top stars — who first appeared on screen together way back in the 1960s and who between them have three Academy Awards — are reunited in a new movie coming out on Netflix.
Jane Fonda and Robert Redford pick up their on-screen romance in “Our Souls at Night,” being released by the streaming service Sept. 29. The actors’ various movie relationships over the years have included “The Chase” (1966), “Barefoot in the Park” (1967) and “The Electric Horseman” (1979).
Redford is an Oscar winner for Best Director for his 1980 movie “Ordinary People” and also has a nomination for Best Actor for “The Sting” (1973). He received an honorary Oscar in 2002 for his work with Sundance.
Fonda won Best Actress for “Klute” (1971) and “Coming Home” (1978), and has a total of seven nominations.
