How ‘Inside Edition’ Is Celebrating Its Anniversary

The syndicated newsmagazine “Inside Edition” is ready to kick off an anniversary celebration, and the show marked the occasion by announcing this week that it has received upgrades in three of the biggest markets.

The show’s 30th anniversary season launches Monday, Sept. 11. Deborah Norville has hosted the program since 1995, making her the longest-serving anchor on a daily broadcast news program.

“This fall, ‘Inside Edition’ is moving to key access time periods in three top markets: New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia,” the show announced today. “‘Inside Edition’ will move to WCBS at 7 p.m. in New York, KCBS at 7 p.m. in Los Angeles, and CBS-owned KYW at 7 p.m. in Philadelphia.”

The program will also be upgraded in other key markets across the country. In San Francisco, “Inside Edition” shifts to 7 p.m. on KRON. In Minneapolis, the show moves to 3 p.m. on KARE. The program receives a new clearance in Cleveland at 4:30 p.m. on WOIO and will also move to 8:30 p.m. on WUAB. In Milwaukee, the show gets a new clearance on WDJT at 2 p.m., and in Phoenix it moves to 4:30 p.m. on KPHO.

“Inside Edition” is the No. 2-ranked syndicated newsmagazine, averaging 4.2 million viewers daily. The show is produced daily by Inside Edition Inc. and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Charles Lachman is the executive producer and Esther Pessin is co-executive producer.
