Preliminary numbers for “Thursday Night Football” coverage of last night’s game between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears show an increase in viewers from the equivalent game last year.

CBS announced that the game, which was carried on CBS, the NFL Network and Amazon Prime — with digital viewing not yet added into the data — delivered an average overnight household rating/share of 9.9/18, up 6% from last year’s 9.3/16 for the comparable “Thursday Night Football” matchup on CBS and NFL Network between the same two teams on Oct. 20, 2016. The network cites Nielsen metered market ratings.

“Thursday Night Football” on CBS and NFL Network dominated the prime-time ratings from 8-11p.m. ET, averaging a household rating/share of 9.5/16.
