ABC will surrender some prime-time real estate to one of the biggest stars in popular music when it hands over a few minutes of its thriving “TGIT” Thursday night schedule to Taylor Swift next Thursday, Nov. 9.
The network announced plans today for the three-minute musical event, sponsored by AT&T. The special broadcast, coinciding with the release of Swift’s new album “reputation,” will showcase the first performance by Swift of a new song in three years.
Swift’s performance will air during “Scandal.” An extended version will follow on Freeform on Friday, Nov. 10.
