A long-running cable series is headed to theaters as part of a renewal deal that will also keep the show on the air for an eighth season. truTV made the announcement today unveiling an “expanded commitment” to “Impractical Jokers.”

And the commitment doesn’t stop there: The announcement also includes plans for the third annual “Impractical Jokers Cruise,” which sails Feb. 6-10, 2019, and the “Impractical Jokers: Homecoming” museum exhibit, opening July 12, 2018, at the Staten Island Museum.

truTV signed on for a 26-episode eighth season of the series, ensuring that new episodes of “Impractical Jokers” will continue to premiere on the channel through 2019.

A feature-length “Impractical Jokers” movie is in production, produced by Funny Or Die with Chris Henchy directing.
