Two weeks into its current season, a broadcast drama series picked up a renewal for season six. Deadline reports that the CW gave the pickup to “The 100.”
“The CW last month renewed the bulk of its lineup — 10 shows in total — leaving midseason series ‘The 100’ and ‘iZombie’ on the bubble, along with freshmen ‘Life Sentence’ and ‘Valor,’ who are considered long shots for a pickup,” Deadline reports, adding: “Between ‘The 100’ and ‘iZombie,’ the former has been the stronger contender for renewal. It is higher rated — drawing an 2.1 million viewers in most recent ratings vs. 1.3 million for ‘iZombie’ this season — and has been a reliable midseason replacement.”
The fate of “iZombie” remains undecided, with Deadline noting that it is likely to come down to schedule space and how many pilots the CW picks up to series.
