NBC has just made a number of programming moves, picking up a dramedy series for a second season and ordering two new dramas to series. Variety reports that the network renewed “Good Girls,” which stars Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman.
“The one-hour series follows three suburban moms who get tired of trying to make ends meet. They decide it’s time to stick up for themselves by robbing the local grocery store, with things quickly spiraling out of control from there,” Variety notes.
The series wrapped up its 10-episode freshman season last month, averaging a 1.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.1 million viewers overall in Live+7, Variety reports.
In addition, NBC announced series orders for the dramas “The Enemy Within,” starring Raza Jaffrey and Kelli Garner, and “The Village,” starring Moran Atias and Dominic Chianese.
