A new TV series that marks The New York Times’ first major foray into television news has settled on its TV home. The series, “The Weekly,” will run on FX.

The cable network announced today that it has committed to a minimum of 30 episodes of the weekly news program, which is set to premiere later this year. The commitment also mark’s FX’s first entry into ongoing weekly news.

New episodes of the series, which is produced by The New York Times and Left/Right, will stream on Hulu the day after their linear premiere.

The half-hour narrative documentary series takes viewers beyond the written stories from The Times, with writers and editors who break the news to be featured on the program.
