truTV Unveils 2018-19 Programming Slate, New Comedies

truTV took the wraps off an ambitious slate of new programs ahead of next week’s Turner upfront, including announcing a 10-episode order for the new comedy series “Tacoma FD” (working title).

The network also announced new projects from Ken Jeong and Jo Koy. And truTV ordered more episodes of returning shows including “Adam Ruins Everything,” “At Home with Amy Sedaris,” “I’m Sorry” and “Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks.”

“Tacoma FD” comes from “Super Troopers'” Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme. The Ken Jeong project is a comedic medical advice show, while Jo Koy’s show is an animated project with the working title “This Functional Family.”

The network also confirmed its commitment to present 100% of its programs with limited commercials by 2021.
