A cable series that its own executive producer referred to as “sickening” has been picked up for an 11th season. VH1 announced today that it has greenlighted a new season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
The channel also greenlighted the after-show, “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked.”
RuPaul Charles, who hosts and executive produces the series, is quoted in the announcement saying: “After ten sickening seasons, the ‘Drag Race’ phenomenon is just getting started.”
The announcement adds: “The new season will follow a record-breaking season 10, which is currently the most watched in franchise history. Additionally, the network renewed the Emmy Award-nominated aftershow, ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked,’ which provides an intimate look into the conversations between the queens as they await to learn their fate behind the mainstage.”

“Sickening” is a good word to describe most of the reality drivel that clogs cable networks.
