Megyn Kelly on Samantha Bee’s Apology

The controversy surrounding TBS late-night host Samantha Bee’s use of the C-word in reference to first daughter Ivanka Trump didn’t go away just because Bee apologized over the incident. In fact, her apology, which you can see here, appeared to draw even more criticism of Bee.

One forum where the issue was discussed was on NBC’s “Megyn Kelly Today,” where Bee and her apology were the focus of a news feature and a brief discussion in which Kelly was joined by NBC’s Stephanie Gosk and The New York Times’ Megan Twohey.

Here’s the clip from “Megyn Kelly Today,” posted by NBC …

  1. Bee’s apology was as sincere as Clinton’s apology to Lewinsky. But at least he kept a straight face. She was snarky, almost giggling and incorporating a joke. But the worst of this episode is what it has done to our culture. By no one in Hollywood or the media taking a tougher stand, the “C” word is being allowed to become a part of our culture. There was a time when you would never hear the “N” word or the “F” word. It was totally out of bounds. Now there isn’t a major rap song that doesn’t incorporate both. And because of that you can hear both used almost anywhere in public where there are young people as it has become a part of their lexicon. After this incident, with no one taking a stand against this reprehensible language, we will see the same with the “C” word.
