A man who starred in a web series featured on YouTube was stabbed to death, according to police. The New York Post reports that Tyrone Fleming, 40, was found dead in his Bronx apartment.
The father of two appeared on the crime drama series “848,” where he was known as Tye Banga.
Fleming “was found in a pool of blood about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after his girlfriend went to check on him because he failed to show up for work, according to cops and WABC,” The Post reports. “His body was blocking the front door of his apartment on University Avenue in Morris Heights so his gal pal called 911, police said. When cops arrived, they found him with a stab wound to the lower back.”
The report notes that a man can be seen on surveillance video entering and leaving Fleming’s apartment, but it was unknown whether he had a role in Fleming’s death. The investigation is ongoing.
Below is a trailer for “848,” with Tye Banga identified near the end of the clip. The show’s YouTube channel has reportedly had close to 3 million views since it premiered about three years ago.
