Lionsgate has named two candidates to join its board of directors, where they would replace billionaire investor John Malone and Scott Paterson. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company has nominated Susan McCaw and Daniel Sanchez.
Their names surfaced today in an SEC filing, THR reports, noting that Malone and Paterson are expected to step down following the company’s annual shareholders meeting Sept. 11 in Toronto.
“McCaw, president of COM Investments, a private equity firm, is also a former U.S. ambassador to Austria. Her husband is Craig McCaw, a billionaire who made his fortune as a pioneer in the cellular phone industry,” THR reports. “Sanchez, the nephew of John Malone, is a tax lawyer and a director of Discovery Communications.”
