ESPN’s ESPY Awards ceremony included an especially emotional segment Wednesday night when the Arthur Ashe Courage Award was presented to survivors of sexual abuse by Larry Nassar.

More than 140 “sister survivors” took the stage, with athletes Sarah Klein, Tiffany Thomas Lopez and Aly Raisman taking the lead in explaining how Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State team doctor, was able to get away with years of abuse.

Nassar was sentenced in January to 175 years in prison in the biggest case of sexual abuse in U.S. sports history.
