A comedian who broke out on “Saturday Night Live” will lead the season four cast of FX’s “Fargo.” The cable channel announced the season pickup today, with Chris Rock in the starring role.

Rock, who was a regular on “SNL” in the early ’90s, has worked with FX before, as an executive producer on “Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell.”

Set in 1950, the new season features a clash between Italian and African American crime syndicates. The limited series will begin production in 2019.
